Chevril
Chevril is an annual spice plant. Its young curly plant leaves with the aroma of anise are used before flowering.
Especially popular in France, where they are used for spicing soups. Due to mild flavour it is recommended to add chevril to meals by the end of cooking. The most aromatic are frozen leaves.
